Guest: RFA KHARKI

Came across this site while doing geneological research on my fathers' papers. Mainly his Seamans 'discharge' papers. Didnt think I would find anything at all but here was a goldmine. Thank you so very much indeed, and it appears he transferred from the "FORTOL"1917-18, so even more of a gold mine.

Guest: 'Sir' Class LSLs

After an Army exercise with 5 Div in April 1969 we sailed to Marchwood from Libya on one of the 'Knights of the Round Table' LSLs but I can't remember which. I am trying to write about my army days for my grand-children before my memory finally goes. Can anyone help me remember? Thanks

Guest: Aldersdale & PQ17

Have just started looking around this site and there is much of interest. Regarding the story of RFA Aldersdale & PQ17, my late grandfather Captain William Walker DSO was master of the merchant ship SS OCEAN FREEDOM during that ill fated convoy. Ocean Freedom survived the carnage of PQ17.

Guest: Cecil R Rosen

Cecil R Rosen OBE was my grandfather - my aunt was recently told about this website and asked me to have a look. I have been trying to create a sort of timeline of his ventures and have succeeded up to a point. What a fascinating website you have.
